Mayor Joan Ribó has announced that the city’s Metrovalencia will offer 24 hours service every day from the 15th to the 20th of March
Metrovalencia will will offer 24 hours service during the Fallas de València in 2023. This has been confirmed by the mayor of the city, Joan Ribó , through a video published on his TikTok profile. “The metro will be open from March 15 to March 20, 24 hours a day,” confirmed Joan Ribó.
According to his statement, this measure will achieve two goals. On the one hand, it will encourage the use of public transportation, which the mayor has described as “fundamental,” in order to reduce the use of automobiles to the bare minimum. On the other hand, user movement within Valencia itself, as well as to and from towns in its metropolitan area that are part of the Metrovalencia network, will be facilitated.
Thus, Valencians, in addition to the thousands of tourists who visit the city during the Fallas festivities, will be able to take public transportation to enjoy the various events that will be held in Valencia between the 15th and 20th of March. This is especially useful if they want to watch the fireworks displays such as the Nit del Foc and the Night of the Cremà, both of which will take place in the early hours of March 19-20.
Ribó has announced when parking in the city’s blue zones will be free, in addition to the launch of a special 24-hour metro service during the Fallas. He has stated that as of March 11, the vehicle can be parked in a blue zone space without paying.
