Wizz Air’s flight Castellon-Bucharest marks the airline’s return to Castellon airport after a nine-month absence.
Airlines, as well as airports, were among the major victims of the Corona health crises. After a few years of expansion, the small Castellon airport came to a halt and managed to survive by converting itself into a cheap parking space for other airlines. However, things are changing. The recently announced flight Castellon-Bucharest marks Wizz Air‘s return to the airport, which is likely its most important client. This connection, which operates on Wednesdays and Sundays, will start after a nine months pause.
What’s more, Wizz should resume all of its former routes from Castellon airport very soon, continuing where it left off in September 2021 due to a Covid Crisis. These are the connections to London Luton, Vienna, Budapest, and Katowice.
At the moment, RyanAir is the airport’s most important client; the company operates three flights from Castellon to London Stansted, Sofia, and Poznan. You can also fly from Castellon to Bilbao with Volotea, and from the end of July, you will be able to fly from Castellon to Seville with Air Nostrum.
