Cheapest Place To Buy Property In Spain – Only One Village From Valencia In Top 25

Spanish property portal, Idealista, has revealed the cheapest place to buy property in Spain in 2021.

Although the prices in some villages in Valencia Province appear to be very low, Valencia is not the cheapest place to buy property in Spain. In a recent Idealista study, the top 25 cheapest municipalities in Spain were identified, with only one place in Valencia, La Pobla Llarga, making the list.

El Carpio de Tajo, in the province of Toledo, is the cheapest place to buy property in Spain, with an average price of 304 euros per square metre.

The Palencian town of Barruelo de Santullán (383 euros / m 2 ) is next on the list, followed by Cebolla in Toledo (401 euros / m2 ) and the towns of Almadén (407 euros / m2 ) and Herencia (413 euros / m2 ), both in the province of Ciudad Real. Mota del Cuervo in Cuenca takes sixth place (416 euros / m2 ).

Castilla La Mancha is the most affordable community overall, with eight other municipalities ranking in the top ten. One municipality from Castilla Leon and one from Andalusia are also among the top ten.

The cheapest village in Valencia Province is ranked 13th. It is La Pobla Llarga, with an average price per square metre of 448 euros.

Murcia, Extremadura, and, surprisingly, Catalonia are among the other communities on the list of the 25 cheapest places to buy property in Spain. Although Catalonia is more expensive than the rest of Spain, a good deal can be found in the province of Lleida and the town of Balaguer, where the average price for a square metre is €486.
